Doug has recently developed considerable expertise in refitting older sailing yachts as a result of his refitting the sailing vessel Kokopelli, he and his wife’s 46 foot Bob Perry designed pilot house sloop that was damaged during Hurricane IKE. The boat has been meticulously restored with numerous upgrades by a crack team of marine contactors with the project coming in on time and within budget while creating considerable additional value in the yacht. As the owner/general contractor/project manager, Doug made it happen. As a result of this experience, Doug has an extensive knowledge of marine vendors, suppliers, and refit project management techniques necessary to advise you capably if you are considering a major or minor refit of your older sailing yacht.
